TUNGSTEN AND TUNGSTEN CARBIDE

The name comes from the Swedish words "Tung" and "Sun" meaning "heavy stone". It is 10x harder that gold or silver,8x harder than platinum and 2x harder than steel. The only thing stronger than tungsten is an actual diamond. How's that for durability?

Tungsten, previously referred to as Heavy Stone, is a very hard and dense metal symbolized by a W or #74 on the periodic elements table that is extracted from Wolframite ore. Tungsten is used as the filament wire in most light bulbs because it melts at an extraordinary 6,200 degrees F. When Tungsten is processed with carbon and other elements it is transformed into Tungsten Carbide (WC) between 8 and 9 on the Mohs hardness scale. A similar formulation of this super hard composite metal has been widely used for over 50 years as a cutting tool for industrial applications. A special formulation of Tungsten Carbide has been used as well for the production of scratch proof wrist watches for nearly forty years

Tungsten is the most scratch resistant metal on the market today. Many of our rings are available in polished, satin and sandblast finishes. All of our tungsten bands are fully guaranteed against breakage with a replacement if it ever happens.


TITANIUM

Lighten Up! Titanium has the strength of steel and the weight of aluminum. Trusted by many engineers it is used everywhere. From golf clubs to even larger objects such as planes. Active wearers of Titanium feel confident knowing it is the lighter side of strength.

We use aerospace grade ti6a-4v titanium to make most of our bands. It is stronger and harder than most commercial titanium rings. We take pride in the ability to customize most of our titanium rings to different widths. We have the ability to inlay any precious metal and mokume gane you choose into titanium as well as set many different gemstones.


CERAMIC BANDS

Seranite is the name for our super hard scratch resistant ceramic metal. Our proprietary sintering and pressure injection process allows this metal to be much stronger and scratch resistant than the typical ceramic product. This metal provides support for today's aerospace and medical industries and its hypoallergenic attributes offer confidence to those looking for comfort without having to sacrifice strength and durability.

Other ceramic bands can come in white black and pink. The bands are very light weight , and very scratch resistant. There are three finishes available for most styles: polished ,satin, sandblast. Our bands are not made with a color coating and therefore the color is throughout the entire ring and will not wear over time.


COBALT CHROME

Cobalt Chrome is perfect for the customer who loves the look of a platinum band but with a more affordable alternative. Cobalt chrome is hypoallergenic, has a white lustrous color, and will stand up to wear and tear. Most styles available in titanium are also available in cobalt chrome. Not only is the color similar to platinum but it has the heft of gold. You do not have to be afraid to wear this on a every day basis.


DAMASCUS STEEL

Damascus Steel is a unique blend of up to 120 layers of two different types of steel, forged together to make a beautiful, durable band. These bands are available in most of the titanium styles. We offer two finishing options, polished and acid washed. No two rings are ever identical and it is great to know that you really have something of true artistic value.


ZIRCONIUM

Zirconium is typically used in dental implants and nuclear reactors. Zirconium makes for a great black and two toned rings. A black oxidized coating is crated when zirconium is heated. This coating makes the ring scratch resistant and allows us to create amazing two-toned styles. Upon special order we can set round diamonds into most zirconium rings.


CARBON FIBER

Carbon fiber is well known for its strength to weight ratio, and it is often used in bicycles, motorcycles, and sailboats and recently into certain automobile components.. We 'sandwich" carbon fiber into our performance metal bands, producing a stunning, innovative look.
